A seasoned coach, educator, presenter, and community leader.
I’ve been blessed to teach and mentor thousands of women around the world. My decades of experience fuel me forward and I am excited for the opportunity to share that with you.
One of my favorite Jewish teachings is:
“Asai Lecha Rav” – “Create For Yourself A Mentor.”
— TALMUD
Every person benefits from a suitable mentor who can give wise and objective guidance, leading us to become our best selves.

Timeless Jewish Wisdom for Today’s Challenges
While many of the women who come to me are Jewish, I believe the vast lessons of the Torah can benefit anyone – and offer a fresh lens to view life’s challenges. Just about every question, dilemma, or opportunity we face can be better understood and acted upon with reference to a Jewish text, story, directive, or teaching.
It is my honor to share this classic wisdom of centuries, even millenia, with others, to help them make courageous decisions and changes in their life, work, and relationships to live happier and more meaningful lives.
“Nechama Shemtov guides from deep knowledge and equal compassion, the voice that has guided me for two decades. With an impeccable work ethic and love for her craft, I have benefitted both personally and professionally.”

The Circle of Mentoring
Although I believe in straight talk, I see life mentoring ultimately as a circle. When women are empowered to tap into their strengths, take action to improve their lives, and embrace their purpose, the ripple effect is powerful – building stronger leaders, homes, families, organizations, and communities. I have witnessed this firsthand, time and time again, through my work with AURA Jewish Women and other institutions.
Unlike accumulated wealth or power, when you share wisdom, knowledge, and care – the more you share, the more you have. Many of the women I have supported over the years have, in turn, drawn upon their new wisdom and life experiences to support others – and it will always be my privilege (and honor) to be a part of this most precious cycle.
